India registered the 5 wickets victory over WI in the 1st test in New Delhi.And also this is their 3rd highest successful run chase in India.India were chasing 276 to win and resumed 4th day play with 152/2.But India lost the early wicket of Rahul dravid for adding just 1 run to his overnight score but Laxman and Sachin steady the ship towords victory.Sachin was on the way to his century of tons but he dismissed by WI leggie Bishoo for 76.The whole stadium was stunned for a moment.And after laxman reached his 50 and finally india won by 5 wickets.With this win India lead the 3 match series by 1-0.R ashwin named as Man of the Match for his 9 wickets in the match. He is 3rd Indian to Get MOM in the Debut other to were Praveen Amre and RP singh.
